Garland Operations

Comprehensive Solutions
and Specialized Techniques

Built for agility and innovation, Paligen is redefining what is possible in manufacturing. Garland Operations features a variety of equipment, providing the machining center a unique range of capabilities.

The History of

Garland Operations

Paligen’s Garland Operations has been home to some of the finest forging on U.S. soil for more than 75 years. The 110,000 square-foot facility opened in 1939 after the city of Garland, Texas donated 27 acres of land to the Southern Aircraft Company.

After Garland Operations’ opening, the facility’s inaugural product answered our country’s call for World War II defense manufacturing with the B24 Liberator’s rear gun turret. Since then, our metallurgy and metrology experts have produced a wide range of technologies, from agricultural equipment, such as tractors and farm trailers, to rocket motor cases, bomb bodies, and commercial and defense aircraft components.

As the years have progressed and America’s needs have evolved, so too has Garland’s capabilities. Through it all, the mission has remained the same – providing superior solutions to customers.

Our Facility

Garland Operations is equipped to deliver products far beyond its well-known forged aerospace components and MK-80 series bomb bodies. The facility can also produce a wide range of air-delivered ordnance for manned and unmanned systems, as well as design and manufacture advanced weapon systems, metal parts for warheads and munitions, and maritime launch and ordnance handling systems.

In addition to the extensive list of Garland Operations’ offerings, Paligen has a dedicated team of experienced research and development professionals to advance technologies and capabilities.

Our deep expertise, as well as future heavy manufacturing and high-precision machining will continue Garland Operations’ significant contribution to our nation’s security and aerospace industry.
